A month or so ago, before I released this mixtape, the head of my record label asked me what exactly was Poetic's Cave. It stopped me for a little because I had never thought of any sort of back round information to why I had picked the title "Poetic's Cave"; in fact I had originally just chose it because it sounded cool. So I thought long and hard as to what this mixtape was all about, and why the name Poetic's Cave. After taking a while to think and type this is the reason I came up with. Poetic's Cave is really a hideout for the true emcees, its for people like me to get away from all of the mainstream rappers who only talk about drugs and sexing up women. It's also a place for you guys to escape for just 19 songs, or maybe more depending on how much you listen to it.

So I, Poetic Wisdom, would like to welcome you to Poetic's Cave, and I've brought some friends with me to help.
